Prep is Hume Anglican Grammar's largest and main intake at the Donnybrook, Freier and Kalkallo Campuses.
The Prep 2028 Intake Process will begin early 2027. Therefore, we encourage all families interested in joining the School to ensure an application is submitted by 4:00pm Monday 1 February 2027. Applications received after this date will join the waiting pool to be considered in the future pending availability.
There are 84 places available for Prep at each campus. As demand is already extremely high for the Freier Campus for Prep 2028, we strongly encourage families to preference the Kalkallo and Donnybrook Campuses in order to increase the likelihood of securing your child's primary and secondary education at Hume Anglican Grammar.
Please note, Year 7 is a minor intake and has limited places available to new students at both the Donnybrook and Freier Campuses. All year levels at all campuses are enrolled to capacity and waiting pools exist. Wait times are typically high and growing longer each year.
We will be hosting a Prep, 2028 Intake Information Evening on Wednesday 7 October 2026 in person at the Freier Campus. If you have already applied, or are curious about applying to our School, this Information Evening will allow you to hear from Leadership regarding our Prep program and the Intake Process for Prep, 2028 for all three campuses. The Intake Process has recently changed and will be outlined on the evening. Children are not required to attend this Information Evening. Prep 2028 Intake
- Only one application for enrolment is required to be submitted for Prep.
- All applications received by the deadline of Monday 1 February 2027, will be able to preference more than one campus to be considered at for Prep 2028.
The campus you have applied to will remain your 1st preference. If you wish to amend your 1st preference, please email [email protected]
In February 2027 via email, Enrolments will contact those who have submitted an application by 4:00pm Monday 1 February 2027, to ask if you have any further campus preferences. - All applications received by the deadline of 4:00pm Monday 1 February 2027 will be offered a Prep Readiness Assessment, which will be held in person on Saturday 13 March 2027. For your child to be considered for Prep 2028, they must attend on this date. No alternative dates will be offered.
- Applicants will then be shortlisted for Stage 2: Prep Pre-enrolment Interview occurring in person in the Term 1 School Holidays (Early – Mid April, exact dates TBC). If you are invited to attend, this will be compulsory and will be held in person on the set dates. No alternative dates will be offered.
- A Prep Pre-enrolment Interview does not guarantee that an Enrolment Offer will be made.
- 1st Round Enrolment Offers will be sent on Monday 31 May 2027.
- 2nd or 3rd Round Enrolment Offers will occur only if places remain available.
- $1,500 Establishment Fee will be required within a maximum of two weeks to confirm enrolment.
- An Enrolment Offer for Prep secures 13 years of education at Hume Anglican Grammar.
- No campus transfers are permitted.
- Kalkallo Campus students move to Freier or Donnybrook Campus for Secondary School at the commencement of Year 7 only. No earlier. The School will allocate Kalkallo Campus students to their Secondary School campus in Year 5. Kalkallo Campus students may also move to the Wollert Campus, should the campus commence with Year 7 (for more information on the Wollert Campus, click here).
- In person Be PREPared and Orientation Sessions for the enrolled child are compulsory.
- All communication will occur via email.
