Year 12 Final Days

Year 12 students recently enjoyed two wonderful days of celebration to bring the conclusion of their formal schooling to a close.

On their Celebration Day, students enjoyed a Reflective Tour, where they toured the school to remember milestones and memories from various points across their schooling, a Costume Parade, full of colour and cheers from the excited Primary students, competitive Staff v Student volleyball matches and finally, time together as a cohort to soak in the emotions of the occasion.

The student’s Graduating Day is a revered day on the school’s calendar, and it was so wonderful to be able to run it in its usual format after the pandemic has made that difficult the past two years. The day began with the graduating students and staff coming together to enjoy a breakfast; the students enjoyed seeing all the staff who have played a part in their schooling journey. Students then attended their final Chapel service before their final School Assembly. Highlights of the Assembly included reflective and honest speeches by three Year 7 students who have a sibling in the Class of 2022, a photo presentation showing how the students have changed from Year 7 to Year 12, and an emotive final roll call. The morning concluded with the entire Mt Ridley community coming together to create a Guard of Honour for the graduates as they made their way to the school gates. It was a morning full of celebration, community and memories, and a fitting farewell for our much-loved Class of 2022.

We wish the students well as they prepare for their upcoming exams.
