Hello Everyone!

My name is Meles Nona, and I’m one of the Year 10 Senators.

In school, I am a lively and enthusiastic student that loves to take on challenges in study. My favourite topics include Mathematics, Systems Engineering (Accelerated VCE subject), Physics and Science. My work is always my best, and through my classes, I aim to achieve excellence and resilience in all the challenges that await me. I believe that respect is a core element of all relationships, and that it is necessary for interactions both in and out of class.

I became a Senator to help my fellow students in Year 10 have a way to reach out to and be heard by the School regarding any problems, issues, requests, or feedback they had. I also love to be a leader, as to me a leader is someone who empowers and strengthens those around them, with respect and enthusiasm.

Last year, during the COVID-19 lockdown I, with the help of my technology teacher, launched a student-lead Coding Club for the School on Teams and facilitated the Game-Development section of the club after school every week.

Outside of school, I love to play games, code and make games and go out with my friends and family. My favourite games are open world, fighting, party and sandbox games. In my spare time I love to pick up titles such as Minecraft, Subnautica, Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart with my friends and siblings. I’m an avid member in my church and a part of the choir, along with my brother.

Thank you for reading, I wish you a great day!
