Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!
To support our fantastic Aussie Athletes in Tokyo, students in Year 3C and Year 9D joined together to create ‘Messages of Support’ for the 2020 Olympic Team. Students were able to make connections between our School Values and the values that our Olympians have upheld during these unprecedent times, highlighting Olympic Excellence, Resilience, Respect and Integrity. The Olympic Games have proven to be the ideal opportunity to enhance students’ real world understanding as part of the Year 3 ‘Australia in its Global Context’ curriculum and the Year 9 'Business of Sport', as part of the ‘Geographies of Interconnection’ studies. Students enjoyed collaborating with peers of a different age group and utilised our new and fantastic STEM building, to plan, create and direct their videos.
