Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne
- Hume Anglican Grammar has an open enrolment policy so educates children from many faiths and with a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.
- In 2023, the School will open its third campus in Kalkallo, as a Primary (P-6) school. In 2022, the first classes for the new campus commenced and are being accommodated at the Donnybrook campus, to then move to the new site in 2023.
- The School is on a growth trajectory and in 2023 is expected to increase to 2,265 students and ultimately have some 3,300 students (Mt Ridley 1,400, Donnybrook 1,300 and Kalkallo 600) with a corresponding cohort of teaching and general staff on its three campuses with plans for further expansion.
Receptionist - Part-time (Job Share)
Due to a further internal promotion - Hume now calls for applications for the position of Receptionist. This position is part-time (2 days per week - Tuesday and Wednesday) and is ongoing, with the preferred commencement date to be negotiable with the successful candidate.
The Receptionist plays a pivotal role in the organisation of the administration office for the Mt Ridley campus and is one of the first points of contact for enquiries. The positive message conveyed in this initial interaction is immeasurable.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Front Desk and switchboard of the School
- Maintaining visitor sign-in record
- Providing assistance/support to Admissions and Finance teams including responding to enrolment enquiries.
- Checking and accepting all deliveries to reception
- Receiving, sending and distributing emails as required
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working on a busy reception desk.
- Highly proficient computer skills in the MS Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Current Working with Children Check or a willingness to obtain one
- Excellent organisation skills, planning and problem-solving capabilities
- Data entry experience, preferably working with a database
- High level of attention to detail

- Highly motivated with a passion for superior customer service
- Empathetic phone manner and professional personal presentation
- Reliable and flexible with the ability to provide relief cover during periods of leave
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills, planning, analytical and high-order thinking capabilities

Attractive Salary and Benefits:
The Hume Anglican Grammar Agreement 2022 classifies this position as General Staff Level 3.
- The position is entitled to 5 weeks paid annual leave and 2 weeks unpaid leave - pro rata.
- The following annual salary sub-level offered will be determined by experience in a like role and relevant qualifications and will be paid pro-rata. (The salary noted below is based on full time, including leave loading and has 2 weeks unpaid leave deducted). Plus superannuation.
3.1 $71,193 (annual equivalent)
3.2 $73,329 (annual equivalent)
3.3 $75,529 (annual equivalent)
3.4 $77,793 (annual equivalent)
