Recharge and Revitalise

As we approach the end of term, I wish to extend my thanks and appreciation to parents, students and staff. Whilst there has been no remote teaching and learning, the Covid-related issues have continued to challenge us. Events have had to be postponed or modified and a number of students and staff have had to isolate. Despite this, the teaching and learning has continued and the opportunities for student engagement and socialisation have remained strong.

Last week our Prep students completed their intensive block of swimming lessons at State Swim. Whilst exhausting (for staff and students) the lessons were thoroughly enjoyed by all and even the short bus trip to the pool was a highlight for our youngest students. I thank Nicole Morton, Head of Learning - Physical and Personal Development, for her organisation and planning of this particularly important component of our curriculum.

Next term we hit the ground running with 4 major events in the first 2 weeks. We start with Parent-Teacher interviews on Monday, 26 April, followed by our Primary school Anzac service on Thursday, 28 April and House Cross Country on Friday, 29 April. In the second week of term, we have our annual Mother’s Day morning on Thursday, 5 May. We plan and organise these events to develop the whole child and give every student an opportunity to let their colours shine.

To say Term 1 has been busy is an understatement. We hope you use the break to recharge and revitalise to prepare for the commencement of Term 2. Wishing all in our community a wonderful and safe holiday.
