Northern Metropolitan Cricket Champions
Under the excellent leadership of Panav and Avraj, the Intermediate Boys Cricket Team have been crowned the Northern Metropolitan Cricket Champions. The team are undefeated from the past seven games and stood out in all three categories – 10 overs, 12 overs and 20 over games. A masterclass batting partnership by Panav and Arnav brought us tonnes of runs to secure the lead position in the competition.
With excellent bowling by speed expresses, Abhayjeet and Arnav demolished the batting order of the other team, complemented by outstanding fielding with one-hand catches by Joseph and Pahul, giving us the wickets we needed under pressure to win games. The strategic sharing of wicket-keeping duties by Soham and Aryan kept the oposition batters guessing.
The boys would also like to acknowledge Year 12 students Aaditya and Kartik, for their training sessions which helped the team immensely in preparing for all their matches. Their commitment has been appreciated by the team. Now we wait for the next competition to let our colours shine once more.
