Primary Health - Body Bright

During term 4, our Year 5 and 6 students have participated in the Body Bright program, organised by the Butterfly Foundation. Throughout these sessions, students learned to foster a healthy attitude and behaviour towards their body, eating, and physical activity in their home and school.

All students were taught to be:

  • Brave - against appearance teasing.
  • Resilient - to unhelpful media messages.
  • Inclusive - of all bodies.
  • Grateful - for our bodies.
  • Happy - from joyful physical activity.
  • Thoughtful - with eating.

Next year, all Primary students will participate in the Body Bright program, which will offer students different strategies in developing body image confidence. We encourage parents to adopt the techniques above and visit the Body Bright website - https://butterfly.org.au/school-youth-professionals/about-our-programs/bodybright/
