Farewell Class of 2021

It was with great pride that we were finally able to give our Year 12 graduates a fitting and well-deserved send-off last week. The occasion began with an official assembly that was witnessed remotely by family and friends. It included farewell speeches from teachers, peers and younger siblings and a graduation ceremony where each student was presented with their leaving certificate.

Subject excellence, Subject DUX and citizenship awards were announced recognizing those students who have excelled in their studies and made a significant contribution to the School community. Students partook in a special candle-lighting ceremony before embarking on their symbolic, final ‘Walk of Honour’, being cheered on by their siblings, the student leaders and the youngest students of Hume. Afterwards, students had further opportunity to catch up with each other and their teachers and a lunch gathering. We bid farewell to the Year 12s and send our best wishes as they embark on new adventures.
