Personal and Physical Development - Primary

During Term 3, our Years 5 and 6 Health students from both our Donnybrook and Mt Ridley campuses, have been participating in the FEAST program established by Oz Harvest.

Students investigated food wastage and explored strategies to reduce the $2 billion food, Australians throw away each year. To foster a positive relationship with food, our students headed to the kitchen and created many amazing and beautiful fruit platters and kebabs. Students are currently writing and making their own recipe which will be a part of their class recipe cookbook.

I would like to thank all the parents who assisted our young master chefs during online learning, and to the wonderful Years 5 and 6 Health teachers and Teachers’ Assistants who made the program an enjoyable, educational and safe experience.
