On Thursday, 6 May, students at the Donnybrook campus celebrated Mother’s Day Evening with mums, grandmas, aunties and special friends invited into our classrooms for the first time in well over a year.

With some Covid restrictions still in place, our mums joined us in smaller groups than usual, armed with face masks and hand sanitiser. However, thinking back to this time last year, we were celebrating in lockdown and unable to come together as a school community.

Classrooms were filled with fun and laughter as the students and their mums took part in a variety of fun activities including hand painting, boardgames, flower origami and more.

We ended each session with a recorded performance by our Donnybrook Primary School Choir who sang ‘The Mother’s Day Song’ led by Mr Eugene Lazarus.

We hope each and every one of our Donnybrook families had a wonderful Mother’s Day.
