Hume Anglican Grammar would like to congratulate Brianna Metagesha, Teacher Librarian, on the publication of her article 'Embracing Asia: Using Fiction to Foster Asia–Australia Engagement in Upper Primary Schools' in the latest issue of ACCESS, the Journal of the Australian School Library Association.
In her article, Brianna explores how fiction can bring the Australian Curriculum’s focus on Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia to life in the classroom. She highlights how stories featuring Asian and Asian-Australian voices can build empathy, challenge stereotypes, and deepen cultural understanding.
