Last week, Secondary students at our Mt Ridley campus participated in their annual House Cross Country carnival.
Despite a damp and muddy course, who many say are perfect cross-country conditions, the students embraced the challenge. With cheers and support from fellow House mates, each competitor crossed the finish line with a great sense of accomplishment.
The 3km course put the students’ fitness and stamina to the test, with the 16 to 18-year-olds extending themselves even further to complete a 5km run.
The winning House of the day was Summerhill, with Ridley in second place.
From those who competed, 74 students in five age groups will now move on to represent Hume Anglican Grammar in the Mickleham Division Cross Country to be held in Term 2.
Well done to all students who participated on the day.
