When we open a new building, we also open new play spaces. Alongside the Years 3-4 Learning Neighbourhood is a new playground complete with a trampoline, double slide and Ninja Warrior Climber. Our Year 3 students are particularly excited as they have been involved in the planning. Last year our students shared their plans for a playground with landscapers and playground designers. They met over Teams and spoke together about creating a space that had natural climbing elements as well as commercial equipment. The landscapers designed the three mounds, shared their plans with Year 3 and asked them to choose the equipment to go in between. In addition to this space, they also wanted down ball courts and a hard-court surface to play basketball and soccer, which are located on the southern side of the building.

During the holidays, we also planned additions to the Prep playground. Coming this term will be two cubby houses, a Mt Zeil climbing net, slinks, pommel stepping stones, a chill out zone and a couple of play panels will be added.

These are great additions to our outside play spaces which will provide extra challenge and enjoyment for our students. And of course, they can continue to play imaginative games in the landscaped sections of the garden.
