Mt Ridley Primary Swimming Carnival

On Friday, 4 February, Years 3 – 6 students travelled by bus to Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre to compete in the annual House Swimming Carnival. The students were very excited and eager to ‘let their colours Shine’ and show their House Spirit. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day.

Students participated in a variety of activities including land events and the splash pad Water Park (where students eagerly awaited the giant bucket to fill and empty its contents). The various novelty events in the shallow pool and use of the water slides ensured all students had an opportunity to get involved. Many students competed for their House in 25m and 50m swimming events where all 4 swimming strokes were on display (and maybe a few new ones). The House Spirit was alive and well!

Many thanks to all the staff and parents who helped to make this carnival a success.

The winning House and Age Champions will be announced at our Primary school Assembly next Tuesday.
