Hume Anglican Grammar School

In this edition of Meet the Team, we are pleased to introduce you to our Admissions Manager Katherine Czarnecki, based at our Mt Ridley campus.

Katherine began working at Hume Anglican Grammar teaching Humanities in the Secondary school at the commencement of 2022, and after a period away resumed full duties last year. Katherine has previously worked as a teacher in State and Catholic schools, as well working in Marketing and Student Recruitment in higher education. This year Katherine has been appointed to the position of Admissions Manager and is looking forward to getting to know all of our wonderful community.

What do you like most about working at Hume Anglican Grammar?
The genuine opportunities available to staff to grow and build their skill set. Whether it be applying for a House Coordinator position (which I personally loved), taking on a new position at a new campus or applying for a leadership role, the regular opportunities that come with a growing school is fantastic.

What does a typical day in the office look like for you?
My day to day consists of working on all aspects of enrolments at Hume, ensuring all steps and processes are completed in a timely manner. Two current projects that I’m working on; preparing for Scholarship testing in a few weeks, as well as organising the three Open Days the school will host at each campus to showcase Hume Anglican Grammar to the wider community.

Who has had the biggest impact on your career and why?
All my past managers and leaders have impacted me in one way or another, either learning from their positives and professionalism, or by guiding me on how to be a great leader.

Fast Four:

If your friends could describe you in one word, what would it be?
Fabulous.

If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Kim Kardashian. The family's work ethic and ability to build an empire is inspirational.

Where is your favourite travel spot?
The Greek Islands.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I took French classes for nine months after watching Emily in Paris.
