Semester 1 Reflection

As we approach the final weeks of Semester 1, I reflect on what an amazing start to the year it has been. We had students attending school onsite for a full semester for the first time, in what feels like, forever.

The way that students were able to settle back into the routines of school, with ease, should be commended. They have been able to take their developed resilience and use it for the better, showing social and academic progress daily.

As mentioned, being back onsite for the full semester has enabled us to run the full suite of programs, including incursions and excursions which help to consolidate skills and concepts taught in class.

Below is a reflection from one student at each year level from Prep to Year 2. I hope you gain an insight into how special being at school is for our students.

School is special because I like being early and being at the front of the line and I also like it because we are learning about the letter Z. My friends eat with me at recess and lunch then we play in the playground. I liked going to the Bundoora Farm because we got to meet so many animals. - Krish Prep B

School is special because you get to play with your friends and you get to learn new things. I love when it is lunch and recess because you get to play. In class we are learning about Living Things, and we have a bean seed that we are trying to grow. At lunch time we take it out and give it sun. I hope it grows. - Myra 1A

School is special because I like learning at school, learning from home was hard. I like playing with my friends on the climbing frame at recess and lunch. At school we have had incursions and I’m looking forward to our excursion this week. - Anjili 2A

A big thank you to all involved.
