Hume Anglican Grammar proudly offers a number of academic scholarships every year, open to new and existing students of the School. Our scholarships provide an opportunity for many to achieve and pursue academic excellence.

Scholarships are offered at both Donnybrook and Freier (formerly Mt Ridley) Campuses.

 

VCE Scholarships

For the award of a VCE Scholarship at Hume Anglican Grammar Freier Campus (formerly Mt Ridley Campus), applications are invited from current and external Year 10 or Year 11 students entering Year 11 or Year 12 in 2026.

VCE Scholarships will apply for the VCE years of schooling (Year 11 and 12) and are subject to terms and conditions. The award is also subject to eligibility for enrolment consideration, review of Year 9 NAPLAN Results, review of two most recent End of Semester School Reports, a successful interview, and is subject to the discretion of the Principal.

Value of a VCE Scholarship

The value of each VCE Scholarship is at the discretion of the Principal and will be up to a maximum 80% fee remission. The Scholarship value ranges as a percentage dependent on the strength of the application. The Scholarship is a percentage of the School Tuition Fees and excludes uniforms, books and other excluded items listed in the Annual Fee Schedule.

How to apply for a VCE Scholarship for 2026

Scholarship Applications can be submitted with the required documents at no charge, and can be emailed to [email protected]
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.

VCE Scholarship applications for 2026 close Monday, 30 June 2025. 
VCE Scholarship applications for 2026 be reviewed upon receipt and preference will be given to those external applicants who are willing and able to commence their enrolment in Semester 2, 2025.

A VCE application must include the following documentation in PDF format only:

  1. VCE Scholarship Application Form
  2. Two most recent End of Semester School reports (Semester 1 and 2, 2024)
  3. Year 9 NAPLAN Results
  4. Any progress reports for 2025
  5. Previous Scholarship Exam Results (if applicable).
     

All external applicants are required to also submit an Application for Enrolment (if you have not already done so) and be eligible for consideration for Enrolment at Hume Anglican Grammar. International students (including those who currently hold a Visa Subclass 500 or 600) cannot be considered for enrolment at Hume Anglican Grammar.

Successful Applicants
  • Successful applicants will be notified by the Principal in writing and scholarships must be accepted within the stipulated time. The School’s decision is final and no subsequent discussion will be entered into. We do not disclose the number of successful applications or their value.
  • External students will be required to follow the School’s Enrolment process.
  • Hume Anglican Grammar offers Scholarships to students on the condition that they maintain the expected levels of performance and the student completes their Secondary education at the School. If a student leaves the School prior to completing Year 12, his/her parents/guardians will be required to repay the value of the scholarship.

Year 7 and Year 10 Scholarships

Scholarship applications for Year 7, 2027 and Year 10, 2026 have now closed.

Timeline of Year 7, 2027 and Year 10, 2026 Scholarship Intake:

  • Term 4, 2024: Applications Open
  • 31 January 2025: Applications Close
  • February 2025: Scholarship Exam
  • Term 2, 2025: Notification of Scholarship Application Outcome 

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for our next Scholarship intake, applicants must be:

  • Entering Year 7 in 2028 or entering Year 10 in 2027
  • Be eligible for consideration for Enrolment at Hume Anglican Grammar. International students (including those who currently hold a Visa Subclass 500 or 600) cannot be considered for enrolment at Hume Anglican Grammar.

Year 7 Scholarship Intake

Applications for the Year 7 Scholarship intake open in Term 4, of the year when the applicant is in Year 4. The Year 7 Scholarship Exam will then occur in February when the applicant is in Year 5. Our next Year 7 Scholarship Exam, which will occur in February 2026, will be for entry in Year 7, 2028. Applications will open in Term 4, 2025. Please check back in Term 4.

The Scholarship Exam for Year 7, 2025, 2026 and 2027 have passed, the next opportunity to apply for a Scholarship will be for Year 10.

Year 10 Scholarship Intake

Applications for the Year 10 Scholarship intake open in Term 4, of the year when the applicant is in Year 8. The Year 10 Scholarship Exam then will occur in February when the applicant is in Year 9. Our next Year 10 Scholarship Exam, which will occur in February 2026, will be for entry in Year 10, 2027. Applications will open in Term 4, 2025. Please check back in Term 4.

The Scholarship Exam for Year 10, 2025 and 2026 have passed, the next opportunity to apply for a Scholarship will be to apply for a VCE Scholarship.

Scholarship Intake Application Requirements:

  • When Scholarship Applications open in Term 4, complete the Scholarship Application Form and pay the registration fee to Edutest by the closing date. Late fees apply. Registration fees are non-refundable and are made directly to Edutest
  • Submit an application for enrolment to the School if you haven’t already done so (current students or those already in the waiting pool do not need to submit an application for enrolment again).
Scholarship Exams

Our Scholarship Exam is conducted at the School by Edutest, an educational assessment organisation that provide quality assessments and services that are valid, reliable and provide meaningful feedback.

Conducted by Edutest, our Scholarship Exam runs for three hours and consists of five sub-tests:

  1. Verbal Reasoning
  2. Numerical Reasoning
  3. Reading Comprehension
  4. Mathematics
  5. Written Expression
