2025 Dux

We were proud to welcome back Manraj Dhanoa (Class of 2025), who achieved an outstanding ATAR of 99.95, earning the title of Dux and receiving a certificate in recognition of his exceptional academic performance.

Speaking to secondary students at assembly, Manraj delivered an honest and motivating address about what it takes to achieve exceptional results, not just in academics, but in any discipline.

Rather than focusing solely on study techniques, Manraj spoke about mindset and personal drive. He openly described himself as highly competitive, particularly when competing against his own potential. He encouraged students to reflect on what they truly care about and to pursue it wholeheartedly.

One of the key messages from his speech was the importance of focus. For students aiming for top-end results, he shared his belief that dividing energy across too many priorities can limit potential. Instead, identifying one key goal and committing to it fully can make a significant difference.

Manraj also challenged high-achieving students to rethink competition. He reminded them that while they may rank highly within the School, they are competing with thousands of students across Victoria. For him, the pursuit of continuous improvement was more rewarding than becoming comfortable with current results.

Perhaps most importantly, he advised to prioritise sleep.

Manraj concluded by thanking his teachers and the senior leadership team for their unwavering support and encouraged students to enjoy high school, reminding them that success makes the journey even more rewarding.

We wish Manraj the best at the University of Melbourne where he is studying Commerce.
