District Cross Country - Donnybrook Campus

On Friday 6 May, a group of junior athletes were extremely excited to join students from our Mt Ridley campus to represent the School at the District Cross Country Finals event held at Brimbank Park. Liam Navarro (6Y) has written a short reflection piece about his experiences from the day.

Going to District Cross Country Finals was exciting but also NERVE-WRACKING. There was a huge amount of students in attendance and the anticipation of the event just made me even more tense. My race was held on a 1.5km track and each participant had to complete two laps of the course. There were some really fast runners who had a lot of stamina. In the end, most people were placed in the top ten. One of my classmates came eighth and I came ninth and I will be going to Regional Finals. I will end this by saying the competition was like the survival of the fittest.
