Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne.

  • Hume Anglican Grammar has an open enrolment policy so educates children from many faiths and with a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.
  • In 2023, the School will open its third campus in Kalkallo, as a Primary (P-6) school. In 2022, the first classes for the new campus have commenced and are being accommodated at the Donnybrook campus, to then move to the new site in 2023.
  • The School is on a growth trajectory and in 2023 is expected to increase to 2,265 students and ultimately have some 3,300 students (Mt Ridley 1,400, Donnybrook 1,300 and Kalkallo 600) with a corresponding cohort of teaching and general staff on its three campuses with plans for further expansion.

An experienced and self-motivated person is sought to fill the role of Academic Officer - Primary in a supportive and professional environment.

The Academic Officer plays a pivotal role in the organisation of academic matters within the Primary school. This position has significant responsibility through providing administrative and organisational support to the Primary leadership team, to ensure the efficient management of Primary curriculum operations.

The Academic Officer is recognised to be an extremely organised and proficient coordinator of school operations. They have demonstrated consistent and efficient standards are achieved in ensuring effective organisation practice. They are skilled at organising projects, planning activities and managing information.

A high level of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams is key along with previous experience in database management. Please ensure you visit our website for the full Position Description. 

The position is full-time  working from 8:00am to 4:06pm each work day with 5 weeks’ annual paid leave, 8 weeks’ unpaid leave.  The successful applicant would be expected to commence on Monday, 23 January 2023, and works term weeks, plus one week prior to the commencement of the academic year. 

Salary:
Superannuation is in addition to the salary quoted below.

The Hume Anglican Grammar Agreement 2022 classifies this position as General Staff Level 4. The salary noted below includes 5 weeks Annual Leave,  Leave Loading, and has 8 weeks leave without pay deducted.

The salary sub-level offered, will be determined by the successful candidates’ relevant qualifications and years of experience.
