On Thursday 20 November, we had the pleasure of welcoming distinguished guest Mr Rob Mitchell MP, Member for McEwen, to our Donnybrook Campus for the Official Opening of the STEM Centre.
We were also honoured to have Mrs Leanne Connor, Chair of the Melbourne Anglican Diocesan Schools Commission, join us for the occasion.
The ceremony offered a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this state-of-the-art facility and acknowledge the Commonwealth Government for their support through the Capital Grants Program. Guests enjoyed an outstanding musical performance by Year 9 student Liam on the keyboard, and staff and students shared their favourite features of the impressive new building.
The STEM Centre includes four science rooms, an undercover learning area, maker space, project space, design space, collaboration area, staff room, two offices and multiple store rooms. Designed to meet the needs of a wide range of classes and learning styles, the building will serve students, teachers and the broader Hume Anglican Grammar community for years to come.
The event concluded with the unveiling of the official plaque and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a proud milestone for our school and community.
