Aspiring Dux Scholarship applications are invited from high achieving current and prospective students entering Year 11 or Year 12 in 2027. 

The Aspiring Dux Scholarship will be available at the Donnybrook Campus for students entering Year 11 in 2027. This will be an opportunity to be part of our first Year 12 cohort at the Donnybrook Campus and, potentially, the first ever Dux of the Campus.

The Aspiring Dux Scholarship will be available at the Freier Campus for students entering Year 11 or Year 12 in 2027.

Aspiring Dux Scholarships will apply for the VCE years of schooling (Year 11 and 12) and are subject to terms and conditions. 

The award is also subject to eligibility for enrolment consideration, and the review of:

  • Year 9 NAPLAN Results
  • Two most recent End-of-Semester School Reports
  • A Personal Statement by the student
  • A successful interview.

Finally, the award will be subject to the discretion of the Principal.

Value of a VCE Scholarship

The value of each Aspiring Dux Scholarship is at the discretion of the Principal and will be up to a maximum 100% fee remission. The Scholarship value ranges as a percentage dependent on the strength of the application. The Scholarship is a percentage of the School Tuition Fees and excludes the annual capital and maintenance levy, uniforms, books and other excluded items listed in the Annual Fee Schedule.

  1. Overall academic performance and potential to thrive in the high-quality learning environment provided by Hume Anglican Grammar
  2. Achievement and involvement in other areas of excellence
  3. Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities
  4. A commitment to Hume Anglican Grammar School Values

How to apply for an Aspiring Dux Scholarship for 2027

Eligible applications are to be submitted with the required documents at no charge by 9:00am on Wednesday 1 July via email to [email protected]

Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview.

An Aspiring Dux Scholarship application must include the following documentation in PDF format only:

  1. Aspiring Dux Scholarship Application Form
  2. Two most recent End of Semester School reports (Semester 1 and 2, 2025)
  3. Year 9 NAPLAN Results
  4. Any progress/interim reports for 2026
  5. Personal Statement by the student, outlining how this scholarship will benefit you and your future. Maximum 250 words
  6. Previous Scholarship Exam Results (if applicable)

Eligibility

You must be a student entering Year 11 or Year 12 in 2027.
All external applicants are also required to submit an Application for Enrolment (if you have not already done so) and be eligible for consideration for Enrolment at Hume Anglican Grammar. International students (including those who currently hold a Visa Subclass 500 or 600) cannot be considered for enrolment at Hume Anglican Grammar.

Application Outcome

  • Successful applicants will be notified by the Principal in writing and scholarships must be accepted within the stipulated time. The School’s decision is final and no subsequent discussion will be entered into. We do not disclose the number of successful applications or their value.
  • External students will be required to follow the School’s Enrolment process.
  • Hume Anglican Grammar offers Scholarships to students on the condition that they maintain the expected levels of performance and the student completes their Secondary education at the School. If a student leaves the School prior to completing Year 12, their parents/guardians will be required to repay the value of the scholarship. 
  • Unsuccessful application will be informed via email.
