Year 3 Camp - Mt Ridley

Last week, as a Mt Ridley Year 3 cohort we attended camp at Alexandra Adventure Resort.

Students were lucky enough to participate in various outdoor activities that challenged them both physically and mentally. There were activities where they had to work as a team, such as the Low Ropes Course and Discus Golf, yet others required them to rely on their own bravery to complete, such as the High Ropes Course and the Flying Fox. A highlight for all was the campfire where students got to indulge in marshmallow toasting with their peers.

It was a fun filled three days, with ever changing weather but lots of smiles.

Below is a reflection written by Year 3 student, Jackson Frendo.

When I went up the ladder I looked at the ground and it looked really scary, I didn’t want to do it so I climbed back down. Then I chose to be resilient, and I was determined to have another go. Then I did the whole course. I was really scared but after finishing it I felt pretty good about myself. I was proud that I challenged myself. - Jackson

A big thank you to all involved.
