On Tuesday of this week, the Primary school came together for their fortnightly assembly. As has been the case recently, assemblies and large gatherings have been conducted remotely using Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Mr Sweeney and I had the pleasure of thanking and acknowledging our Prep - Year 2 Semester 1 Senators and presenting our Semester 2 Senators with their badge and certificate. In the Year 5 and 6 Centre, there are 4 words displayed on the wall; Explore, Connect, Imagine and Think. Mr Sweeney drew upon these words when speaking to our newly inducted Senators and how they could use these for inspiration during their time as a Senator in the Primary school.

Following the Senator induction, our Prep students hosted their very first assembly. It was wonderful to watch the homemade Zip lines they created during Remote Teaching and Learning being tested and explained; as balloons, action figures and toilet rolls zoomed down the zip line. Even more impressive was the confidence shown by our Prep students as they calmly walked up to the microphone to share learning experiences they have been involved in.

Thank you to our Prep students and teachers for hosting a wonderful assembly and congratulations and best wishes to our Semester 2 Prep - Year 2 Senators.
